Agete Chain Jewelry Watch This Agete Dainty Mother-of-Pearl & Diamond Gold-Tone Chain Jewelry Watch is a delicate, high-end piece of Japanese boutique jewelry horology, blending Art Deco geometry with an intricate curb-link chain bracelet. A mini tonneau-shaped gold-plated case framed by an intricate fluted/milled pattern bezel. Fitted with a tiny knurled crown at 3 o’clock with a Sterling silver back case Agete (アガット) was founded in Aoyama, Tokyo, in 1990 as a premier Japanese luxury fashion jewelry house. Agete revolutionized the Japanese jewelry market by popularizing “layered accessories” (kasane-zuke)—crafting ultra-skinny rings, delicate charm chains, and mini jewelry watches intended to be stacked together. Agete’s timepieces are renowned for drawing design cues from 1920s Art Deco and Victorian Era jewelry watches.
