Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré – so much the brand’s hero product that it’s mostly just referred to as “Embryolisse” – is a thick, hydrating cream packed with fatty acids and vitamins. Its skin-smoothing texture provides a good base for make-up, whilst its nourishing formula makes it a good healing cream too. Who is it for? The gentle and relatively simple formula and the limited ingredients list means that Embryolisse works well on sensitive or irritated skin. Those with oily or combination skin might find it too rich as it does take some time to fully absorb. How do you use it? Embryolisse can be used morning and/or evening, with a small amount massaged into clean skin. It can also be used in a targeted way on dry areas and flaky patches in colder weather, thanks to its ultra-hydrating formula and barrier-like coverage. Why it's a hero Vogue deputy beauty editor Lauren Murdoch-Smith says: “I first spotted Embryolisse backstage at Paris Fashion Week. It has been used by make-up artists for years to desensitise models’ skin from continuous make-up application and removal from back-to-back catwalk shows.
