Note 3: keeping this for now. Note: I'll be using this during the Holy Week trip for sample photos. You can opt to wait until the film is developed. Note 2: Film has been develoepd and uploaded. Ilford HP5. Canon Canonet 1961 Fully Mechanical Rangefinder Film Camera Lens: 45mm f1.9 35mm Film Can operate as fully manual. (Manual shutter speed and aperture, no metering) or Auto Exposure (Shutter speed priority, Aperture will automatically adjust) Uses selenium cell to meter. No need for batteries or external power source. Great for beginners. Good working condition •All shutter speeds are working •Aperture blades are smooth •Focus ring smooth •Self-timer working •Selenium Cell is excelent •Bright viewfinder* •No dents *Original beamsplitter had discoloration and was too dark, so it was upgraded with a new beamsplitter. Cosmetics: 8.7/10 (can be cleaned, I guess) Functionality:10/10 Viewfinder: 9/10 Lens: 7.5/10 (fungus on lens edge, see pic) Description The original Canon Canonet, released in 1961, was Canon's first intermediate-class, lens-shutter 35mm rangefinder camera with shutter-speed priority automatic exposure, a 45mm f/1.9 lens, and a Copal SV shutter. Minor issue: •Lens has fungus on the edges, but probably will barely effect the output. •Rust on 1/4 second shutter ring, does not affect usage. •Lens locking ring seemed to be misaligned. × Focusing patch is not too contrasty, have minor difficulty focusing on moving subjects.* × Focusing seems accurate except on infinity where the patch over misaligns.* *New discovery while operating. Note: •Film NOT included. •Will add free generic lens cap. •Will install new light seals before shipping.* *Light seals have already been installed. RFS: I have too many film cameras.
