Developed by British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, the dishwasher-safe Flavour Shaker offers a clever alternative to the traditional mortar and pestle. The device features a durable plastic cup that holds a ceramic ball, roughly the size of a Ping-Pong ball, which crushes, grinds, and blends ingredients with just a shake. Simply add whole garlic cloves, spices, or seeds, close the lid securely, and shake until the contents break down. In testing, it easily ground cumin and mustard seeds, cracked peppercorns, and prepared a 1/4 cup of salad dressing by first pulverizing garlic before mixing in oil and vinegar. This innovative tool is highly recommended for quick spice preparation and hassle-free homemade dressings.
