Seiko Credor Gilded Tank 8J81-5020 With new Tochigi Leather black strap, handmade in Japan. No clouding in the crystal. Dial has decent patina. New battery installed, no history of battery leaks. Sold in an as-is basis. Flaws such as scratches and dents are expected when buying second hand watches. Sold in an as-is basis, no refunds or warranties. The name Credor comes from the French “crête d’or” meaning “pinnacle of gold”, and it was founded in 1974. True to its name, Credor watches were originally crafted only in precious metals and were described to be fabricated by Seiko’s pinnacle master craftsmen. The branding was initially very discreet in that the dials were branded “Seiko” but the watches were a part of its “Crêt D’or” collection. The contemporary positioning of Credor in the Seiko family is along the level of Grand Seiko, with Credor emphasizing artistry in craftsmanship while Grand Seiko emphasizes high horology movements.
