== PLEASE READ LISTING CAREFULLY!!! KNOWN ISSUES ARE LISTED BELOW!!! == Lenovo ThinkPad X230 Laptop - Comes with charger (has a known issue, check known issues section below). - Comes with 9-cell Extended Battery (between 2-4 hours of charge depending on use). - Bought via Japanese Proxy Shipping Service back in 2021. - With Japanese Keyboard (works both as English, Katakana, and Hiragana). - Comes with USB Bluetooth receiver (this is to handle speaker issues, check known issues section below). - Good for everyday use such as school work, basic office work, watching videos, coding or programming work. NOT recommended for gaming or heavy multimedia production work. System Specifications: - OS: Windows 10 Pro - CPU: Intel i5 3320M (2 Cores, 4 Threads; 2.60 Ghz to 3.30 GHz) - RAM: 16GB - HDD: 300GB - GPU: Intel HD 4000 - Display: 12.5-inch HD (1366 x 768; TFT Display) Has the following ports: - 2x USB 3.0 ports - 1x USB 2.0 port - 1x VGA Port - 1x Mini DisplayPort (with audio out) Networking Connection Details: - 1x Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) - 1x WLAN Wi-Fi Condition: - Tested working and operation. - Battery has been charged and confirmed to have no issues. - Has chip damage on the lower left corner of the palm rest area (please check the image with the red circle). - Internal HDD checked and confirmed working with no issues (although it is a bit slow). - Has ghost marking of official stickers on the lower left section of the palm rest. What has been tested: - USB Bluetooth Receiver is working without issues. - Audio port (for earphones/headphones) is working without issues. - Trackpoint (the red dot on the keyboard), trackpad, and trackpad buttons are confirmed working. - All three USB ports are confirmed working. KNOWN ISSUES (PLEASE READ THIS PART CAREFULLY!!!): - The port of the charger itself (NOT the laptop) works but feels fragile. The port needs to be moved around when connected to the laptop at times until it works. I originally thought this was a laptop port issue (as in I changed the yellow charging port on the laptop itself) but I have confirmed this to not be the case. I also remember the laptop sometimes shutting down when I connect the charger (not sure if I am remembering this correctly but I still think this is worth mentioning). - As mentioned, there is chip damage on lower left corner of the palm rest. - I have confirmed the built-in speakers to not work well. It cuts in and out while playing music or any video. This is why the laptop comes with a USB Bluetooth Receiver to circumvent this issue. Please make sure to connect earphones/headphones via the audio port OR via the Bluetooth Receiver. - The hard drive this comes with is reported by CrystalDiskInfo to be in good health (at least 98% health) but Windows 10 can feel slow. - I have tried to update Windows 10 to its last most updated version but my attempts have failed. Not sure if this is because of the slow internal HDD or a Windows 10 issue. Reason For Selling: - Not used anymore after building a PC and getting a better laptop. - Stuck in storage. - Decluttering. Other details: - Willing to discuss the price as long as it is not blatant lowballing. - Willing to discuss buyer protection/compensation in case of issues. - I am willing to install a Linux OS in the laptop before purchase and delivery upon buyer's request. - I am NOT willing to install Windows 11 in the laptop as it is technically not supported (and I am not knowledgeable as to how other people managed to install Windows 11 on an x230).
