Ricoh VS-10 slide rule, a Professional Calculation Tool đ Manufactured in Japan during the mid-20th century. đ Ricoh Model VS-10 OverviewThe VS-10 was a popular mid-range model designed for general engineering and technical students. đ Material: Like most Japanese slide rules of that era (including those by Relay/Ricoh and Hemmi), it was typically constructed of bamboo with a white celluloid laminate. Bamboo was preferred for its stability and resistance to temperature and humidity changes. đ Scale Layout: It usually features a standard set of scales including K, A, B, CI, C, D, and L on the front, with trigonometric scales (S, ST, T) often found on the reverse side of the slide. đ Case: The blue plastic case shown in your image is characteristic of later Ricoh models from the 1960s and 70s. đ In excellent condition.
