1969 Rolex Oysterdate Precision Ref. 6694 — Black Dial | Cal. 1225 An iconic reference from Rolex’s transitional era, the 6694 is one of the last great hand-wound Oyster cases. Produced through the 1960s–1980s, this reference is a purist’s take on Rolex; uncomplicated, robust, and rooted in the brand’s tool-watch heritage. This well preserved example from 1969 stands out with its crisp black dial and exceptionally sharp case. The minimalist “Precision” designation reflects the manually wound caliber 1225, known for reliability and ease of service.
