The Shin Nippon Lensmeter LM-15B is a manual focimeter manufactured in Japan by Shin Nippon (a brand now owned by Rexxam), designed to measure the optical power of eyeglass lenses. It features a cordless design, an LED light source that eliminates bulb replacement, auto power-off for battery life, and the ability to measure contact lenses by tilting the device. The LM-15B, known for providing accurate and reliable measurements in optometry practices.   Key Features Purpose: To measure the optical power of lenses. Manufacturer: Shin Nippon (now Rexxam). Design: Lightweight, cordless, with a refined, convenience-oriented appearance. Light Source: LED light source to eliminate lamp replacement. Power: Battery-powered with an option for an AC adapter. Battery Life: Over 200 hours of continuous battery life and an adjustable auto power-off function. Contact Lens Measurement: The device can be tilted to a full 90° for easy contact lens measurement. Versatility: Can be clamped at various angles (45-90°) for comfortable use. Power Range: Measures lens powers up to ±25 diopters. Usage This is a manual lensmeter, meaning an operator is involved in adjusting the knobs and rotating the power drum to achieve the correct focus for the lens prescription. It's a fundamental tool in optometry for prescription determination and lens verification.
