Growing Indoors: growing indoor veggies come with a unique set of challenges. use a well-drained planter with a good quality potting soil mix or soilless medium. limit one cherry tomato plant per 12-14inch (31-36cm) pot. avoid root rot issues by checking the surface of the growth medium before watering. About Tomatoes: - tomatoes are sun loving plants - provide 8-12hours of light needed per day. - tomatoes are heavy feeders. use a time-released fertilizer when potting tomato seedling or routinely feed with a balanced fertilizer such as 10-10-10. if a cherry tomato plant growing indoors i a container is slow to blossom, switch to a fertilizer with a higher phosphorous - tomatoes are self-fertile with each flower having the ability to pollinate itself. when grown outdoors, insects or a gentle breeze help move the pollen inside the flower. use a fan or give the plant a gentle shake to ensure pollination takes place indoors. Sowing: it is best to soak the seeds first overnight or for 12-24hours in warm water. this helps lessen germination time in about 2-3days though not all the seeds will germinate all at the same time. you can 3-4drops of hydrogen peroxide in a cup of warm water. sow seeds 1cm or 1/4inch, only 1seed per pot. cover the hole with soil and moisten it with water. place the container in a warm spot with bright indirect light. keep the medium consistently moist but not wet. germination usually takes around 5-10days or more if you don’t soak the seeds. more or less 300seeds NOTE: to avail of free or discounted shipping cost, you may place your order at my shop at Shopee.
